China International Political Economy

Growth estimates for the Chinese economy are that it slowed to fewer than 10 percent according to Reuters.

Forecasts for Q3 expect China’s GDP to hit 9.7 percent which will end the ten straight quarters of double digit growth.

While the Chinese government is likely glad to see the Chinese economy cool, the bigger concern is over how a prolonged US recession will impact Chinese exports as US consumer demand dries up.
